Since Cesra was founded in 1929, our ideas and energy have been geared above all to one thing – helping people.

Our medicines and medical cosmetics contain plant-based active ingredients and components that help to treat a wide range of conditions, particularly in the field of dermatology and chronic venous insufficiency (CVI).

But our passion for helping people goes even further. Much further, in fact.

Unusually for a pharmaceutical company, Cesra’s revenues do not go to any individual person, family, or shareholder. Unless these funds are reinvested in the future viability of the company, they are channeled entirely into its affiliated charitable Redel Foundation (Redel Stiftung) – to our knowledge this is the only constellation of its kind in Germany.
